Rafel Alfons was born in 1607.  Rafel Alfons' father was Gabriel Cortès Fortesa and his mother is Beatriu Aguiló Martí.  His paternal grandparents are Agustí Antoni Cortès and Elionor Fortesa; his maternal grandparents are Bartomeu Aguiló and Elisabet Martí.  He had a brother named Major.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died at the age of 57 in 1664.
